Decided to exchange sgd for euros here as their published rates were the best of the lot that day. Greeted by an unfriendly man who then proceeded to give me multiple 500euros in exchange for my stack of $50 notes. Requested for smaller denominations but turned me down saying that he didnt have any. So very naively we went on our trip with those 500 euro notes which were as good as blank notes as most shops didnt seem to accept. Stuck in vienna now with cash that we cant use. Whatever that was
Spend the extra effort to go through your south african rands (ZAR) at the counter, especially the 200 bank notes. Transacted in Sept '19.
Not the best stall with best rate. Suggest to look out for other stalls.
